some people..

too much feeling

saw the name of your store,
walked right in. truth be told,
i like people in real pain;
they’re so unable to hurt anyone
except themselves.

says a lot too.
guess some of us are bound to hurt.
you, him, her, everyone, all
feeling too damn much,
much too often,
or is it the wrong damn thing?
giving up on your own time,
even traipsing the same grounds
surprised to find the same trees.

heard from a friend that
the only change you can expect
will be yours, so why
give a shit anyway?
seems like your expectations
of St. Peter’s curious demeanor
are seriously defective.
you can’t live like that.

dedicated to a lonely walker by a lake who defines herself by the actions of someone she can no longer stomach. I think the way you see the world is seriously fucked up, but at the same time, I’ve always been a sucker for an underdog. Somethings are beyond questions like why or how. Either way, I read somewhere you were going to get help. Hope that goes works out for you.

  1. it depends how you take on someone’s words,
if you choose to be positive and cheerful,
    you get that back…
    Happy Sunday!
Nice to read your reflections of life!

  2. That is very true, and re-reading the poem, I may have been a tad harsh, but (and we are not discussing a person I know, merely another writer I found surfing through poetry blogs) I think it is vital to be honest with how you feel because not being honest can seriously fuck up life. The woman in question is writing to get over a painful situation, and with that, I have no quarrel. Her methods on the other hand are not going to get her what she wants, resulting in more unhappiness. I think it is great when people write with a purpose(or even without it)but we must learn how to get the most out of our own work as well as help the reader get the most they can out of it. Not doing so is in my opinion a waste, a waste of talent (we are talking about a talented individual,) a waste of effort and a waste of time. Thanks for the kind comments, next Thursday I will really try to get onto your Poet’s Corner. Anyhow, thanks for all you do, you are a serious dynamo.
