time to go…

what i learned from shock & awe

devotion doesn’t always
carry the day; it’s a
testable theory;
memorized
delivered
rehashed
exhausted.
anyone ever heard
of wisdom gained
from staring too long
into the great unknown?

after five years spent
listening as railroad ties
french-kiss wind
blown friction, i’m still
trying to figure out
if they’re enemies or
co-conspirators; an
unanswered question
from this vantage point.

ended as quickly
as it started; i
badly needed to recover.
after too many, too much
all-night every night
it was time to get healthy.

waiting,
wonderin’ & hopin’,
stuck at the
nowheresville depot where
time slows to a crawl while
everything
ain’t what it seems.

heart of the tempest
ends as misunderstood
at the ending as the
beginning; distance producing
time’s own remedy
for happiness.
dissonance
remains equally important
to everyone. finally,
no surprise there.

On to other subjects soon; I haven’t forgotten about the BSC; they are coming, promise.

    This is my favorite here
    after five years spent

    french-kiss wind

It makes me think of some other times,
when I had to learn that some questions are better off unanswered …

    • It’s always interesting to ask that question “do i wanna know the answer to X.” A lot of the time, the answer is a clear “fuck no!” yet people seem to prefer finding out most of the time. It is an odd facet of life and one that has get me thinking over the last few days. It has been…well not exactly busy few days but relaxed in that I realized that what I was most worried about had already been decided and I was depressed about something that was past. A friend reminded me not to worry about the past and upon reflection I think this is good advice.

Really glad you liked the new poem, it was something I had been putting together off and on throughout the day. Kind of like forced meditation if you catch my drift. Hope life’s going well and such, catch ya later duder,

Once you get used to a certain idea then you can face the past without bothering you in a bad way … of course there will be always a reminder … but with good friends around you, which I’m sure you have a lot … it will all go away.

With time I’ve learned to recognize which questions I should leave alone …well I think one of the reasons for the peace I feel lately is exactly this with the answers and the questions …

Anyway .. I’m glad that you’ve fixed yourself, as I said once I like you in your happy moods …

        Tak care … always.
