have we met.?.?.?

have we met?

gave in to temptation for
all the usual reasons; names
& faces ply change while days
drift painlessly by. i returned,
rejuvenated by stillness
between billows of wind. when
the wind starts blowing, it
bends tall trees screening road
from sight of home.

recovery begun, the cycle
turned a complete revolution.
valuable resources restocked
without discontent or dismay.
new faces with new names
find kindness more addicting
than easily fulfilled temptation.
so willingly shared, i pocket my
lighter, ready to join in whatever
comes next.

clouds try hiding the starlight
by blocking it from sight. a new-
found friendship with the wind
strong enough to bend tall trees
pays dividend by pushing those
gray monsters & unlocking the
light. necessary help from a far-
away friend appears a miracle
as sight & sound again begin
to speak.

Inspired by & dedicated to a wonderful friend. Even if we never meet I owe her more than I can pay back. I’m laughing, but I will still give it a go.

Why are you laughing I wonder? ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Found out (as is often revealed with time & clarity) that despite my own certainty, things are never as bad as they seem. Sometimes you find out they can be better with just a little work. It’s good to feel like myself again; so let me ask you… why aren’t you laughing? Thanks again for the article, it was very kind of you.

        Who told you I don’t laugh? ๐Ÿ™‚ I do …

Good to know you feel like yourself again … It was my pleasure for the post. You might want to have a look at the comments the readers left and see if anyone have questions, tomorrow, the day after … Thanks

      • Nobody told me that, I just prefer the sound of laughter and I figured why not take a shot? As long as you laughed, it was worth it!

I like the tittle very much … Have we met? it sounds like there’s a possibility to do so … When someone offers you a friendly hand take it and don’t think of paying back … just the fact you’ve accept the help means a lot… that’s my opinion of course … Stay away from the winds and the monsters … Thank you!

  3. Love this, and I think it is a wonderful tribute to that friend of yours. Sometimes people we never get to meet, or rarely meet do things for us and are just such an important part of our lives that we’re left wondering. I know I’ve gotten to know amazing people and they’ve always been there for me though we don’t meet up at all.

  4. enchanting!
I totally enjoyed the first part, totally…I dig!
